Anne Robinson unveiled as Countdown’s first ever female host Nick that is following Hewer departure

Anne Robinson has stated this woman is excited to utilize the women that are”formidable of Countdown after being established while the show’s first ever female host.

Most commonly known for presenting game show The Weakest Link, Robinson is currently set to participate mathematician Rachel Riley and lexicographer Susie Dent regarding the Channel 4 series that is daytime.

The 76-year-old will change Nick Hewer, whom announced in 2020 which he will be stepping straight down after very nearly decade in control.

“I am beyond delighted become joining Countdown,” Robinson stated in a declaration delivered to Sky Information. “The show is nearly because old as i will be and merely as historic.

“we have always been especially excited become working alongside the show’s two other women that are formidable.
